Summary: "Yoga is great complement for golfers"
As a Yoga teacher, I'm always looking ways to help students. Many are athletes & golfers in particular. This is a great book to incorporate Yoga poses and philosophy for golfers.

Summary: "Nice idea, poor execution"
The instructions for each of the initial poses are very poor - for someone who has never done yoga it is more confusing than helpful. For example, how does one get into the "downward facing dog pose? - all she shows is a picture of someone in the pose.
She does better further into the book but I think too many people will stop after getting confused starting off and not read on.
Her self testimonial about starting yoga years ago and going from a 24 handicap to a 16 is not an impressive endorsement. Any half competent athlete would be able to go from a 24 to a 12 with diligent practice in a few years

Summary: "good reference & inspiration for my teaching needs."
I began teaching a yoga for golfers class at a golf-spa resort this summer. Even though I am an experienced teacher I felt I needed confirmation that the poses/sequences I offered were on par (pardon the pun). I looked at several 'yoga for golfers' books and decided this one would be good. This book is written by a person who grew up with golf and taught yoga at a spa resort herself for many, many years. What was most useful to me were the sequences in back of the book. I would study and practice her sequences, modify them and use them in my class. It was great! The book talks quite a bit about golf and has some great quotes in it. For me this book was well worth the money. It has given me the boost I needed to feel confident teaching this specific group,golfers, yoga. And I've learned a bit about the game/sport

Summary: "Great Book"
I know I have problems with my swing mechanics...I take lessons, but the problems keep following me. This book and program is helping me considerably. I've discovered that the problem with my mechanics is my level of fitness and flexibility. Working with this book and the golf specific exercises, my body is finally starting to perform the mechanics my swing instructor is giving me. I can't tell you how much fun it is to launch that ball down the middle of the fairway instead of looping it into rough. Thanks Katherine!!

Summary: "Impressed and improved"
With her brilliant correlation between yoga and golf, Katherine Roberts displays a profound understanding of both disciplines. This book is intelligently written and presented in a user-friendly fashion. I particularly enjoyed the attention to attitude and intention which are so important in any athletic endeavor, in addition to the specific techniques to improve flexibility and strength. I tremendously enjoyed reading it and immediately felt inspired.
I feel healthier and wiser after reading this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who feels ready to move their physical health and golf game to the next level. Do something nice for yourself...start this program!
